The Ontario Trillium Scholarships (OTS) program is a remarkable step to engage more of the highly talented and qualified international students to the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada for PhD / doctoral studies. This “Ontario Trillium Scholarships” program by and at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada supports the 2010 Open Ontario Commitment to enlarge the number of international students in the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada while keeping the place for qualified domestic students. Scholarship award:

The number of University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada scholarships under “Ontario Trillium Scholarships” for the academic session 2017- 18 are two. The number of University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada scholarships under “Ontario Trillium Scholarships” covers $40,000 annually and can be taken for up to a total of four years subject to academic performance and availability of funding. Renewal after the first year requires a minimum GPA of A‐minus in all completed courses.

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada scholarships are awarded to the International Students who want to pursue their doctoral studies in any field or majors offered at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada. n The University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada offers degrees in the following areas of study: Business, Computing and Information Technology, Criminology, Education, Engineering, Health Sciences, Nuclear Science and Science.

Eligibility Criteria:

All the interested applicants for the scholarship awards “Ontario Trillium Scholarships”  by and at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada have to fulfil the following defined terms and conditions in order to be obtain this scholarship awards:

  • The candidates must be an international student.
  • All the applicants must have received a temporary resident visa as a member of the student class under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) on the first day of class.
  • All those domestic and refugee students who are eligible for government financial aid (e.g., under the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) or whose enrollment is counted for the purpose of calculating the institution’s operating grants, etc.) will be considered as ineligible to receive an OTS.
  • All the applicants must meet English language proficiency requirements at the time of application.
  • The applicants must intend to pursue full-time graduate studies at an eligible Ontario university at the doctoral level.
  • The candidates must be studying to earn a doctoral degree at an eligible institution and pursuing her/his studies on a full-time basis.
  • All the candidates must start their program in September of an academic year and be physically present to visit her/his campus on regular basis.
  • The applicant must not be employed outside the university except by permission of her/his academic supervisor.
  • In case of applicant currently studying at an Ontario post-secondary institution at the undergraduate or graduate level will be considered as ineligible.
  • The candidates must have to maintain satisfactory research progress for the period of this scholarship award.
